We expanded the front room play area. It now goes behind the bar so she has even more space. Also, what 1 year old doesn't have there own toy bar! She is really liking this area more and more. We don't lock her in there, she just comes and goes as she pleases but having the gate helps to keep the toys contained and the dogs out (sometimes, they still manage to get her puzzle pieces).
I opened up the front windows and she stared outside for about 10 minutes. She "talked" about all sorts of things and pointed at the trees.
She was playing with the xylophone... although I don't know what she was doing with it here.
and having a great time on her zebra!
She is such a good player and such a funny girl! She always has us laughing!
Nana came to stay at our house for two weeks. The time flew by and we enjoyed having her here so much to play with Blair and also help us out. Blair just loves her Nana!
Nana took her on lots of walks in the wagon. Here they are stopped at the grassy knoll to play.
Nana found her a toy and played chase with her
Here they are at the mall where Nana is playing peek-a-boo though the window (not my finest photog work haha)
Nana keeping Blair out of the wind!
Playing at round table with a balloon
Nana taught her the cutest trick...
Too cute!
Blair may not appreciate this but Jason and I sure do! Nana is SUCH a big help when she is here.
We celebrated Jason's Grandma's birthday at her home. The people who live with her threw her such a nice party with delicious food. They had a man come sing and the cutest part was having Blair dance to the singing for everyone. She was the star of the show! There were mostly women sitting around watching but Blair found one of two men in the room (from the family of another woman that lives at the house too) and kept bringing her zoo animals to him. She always goes for the men, we are in trouble!
Here is little miss grace (notice she falls into the table and hits her head!)
After seeing her enjoy some playfood at other people's houses I figured I better go ahead and get her some too. It is weird that all the playfood sets are 3 and up when clearly she is ready to start pretending now. Grammy and I looked at all of them and I joked about getting the Mexican food one for her (since we call ourselves the kimpelez due to our love of burritos) but then it turned out that it was the safest one! So here is her first playfood set...
She immediately fell in love with playing with it and I was of course amazed by all that she could do. She is stiring in the pots and putting the lids on and pretending to eat the food. It is incredible what she has learned by watching us.
She played for about 20 minutes before it was time for bed and she through a back-arching tantrum about not being able to play anymore so I would say I think she likes it!
The next day I washed this little picnic table that we bought at a garage sale a while back. She is so cute sitting at it and playing with her food. She also loves to stand on it as well!
