Slide Time!

Blair got this slide play structure from Nana for Christmas.  It says 18 months on it but we couldn't wait any longer.  She has been a climbing machine lately so we thought she would really like it.  Before we could even get it all put together she walked right up and started climbing the stairs like she knew exactly what she was doing.  She sat down and pushed herself right down the slide!

Going up!
She does seem to have a bit of trouble understanding the stair concept.  She steps onto the first one and then struggles to pull herself all the way up.... we are working on "use the second step"

Sit down and push yourself out!

Some coaxing from dad!

 and away we go!

 Wrong way Blair!

Then she found the box that it came in and that was really more fun.  She found the paper that the decals were on and became obsessed with it.  She carried it around everywhere for a long time!

A video of another round!

We finally got her to look in the periscope to see daddy!

We moved it to the corner with her ball pit at the end!

 Look at that static hair!

She thought Pooh Bear needed to go too so she flung him up there before she started up the stairs and then she threw him down the slide first, it was pretty cute!

The playroom now... we usually spend at least the last hour of the night here, she loves it becasue all the good toys are up here.

Thanks Nana, I think she loves it!

Movin' on up!

Blair had to move into her own digs this week.  This crib rocks almost 5 square feet of living space, a large bay window and two shuttered windows in the back.  Top that off with a large full length door and MTV will be calling soon yo!

Checking out the pad for the first time to see if Mom's design will do the trick... looking a bit Judgy McJundgerson here

Obviously her first visitor is mom... Things seem a bit cramped!

The large bay window... perfect to bring in that natural light and that open and airy feel!

Two shuttered windows... peeking at mom

Give me that kitten!

Hmmm... I can play with my car from in here too!

Sneaking out through the windows already... tsk tsk Blair!

Spoiled girl already expanded the joint by adding a covered car port for her sweet ride!

Isn't she just the prettiest thing in this picture... hanging out on her porch!

 Lock up for security!

They say time goes fast but I didn't realize she would be moving out so soon!  You are welcome back home anytime though baby!

College Fund

For Blair's birthday present, Jason and I started a college fund for her.  Education is really important to us and I want her to grow up with that money just sitting there for when she goes to college.  I hope that as she grows up and we discuss college and the possibilities for her that she will start dreaming early for where she wants to go and what she wants to do and have the security to know that we offer our financial support to back up the dreams!  It wont cover everything but I hope it offers the peace of mind that she wont have to worry as much about loans or burdening us for her college.

So may I suggest... if you are ever interested in giving to her college fund rather than a birthday or Christmas gift, it is very easy for us to deposit and for a kid who has so much already, it is a really special gift for her future!

Thanks to Great Grandma and Grandpa for their Christmas gift contribution and to Grammy and Papa who already set up an automatic MONTHLY withdraws to help her out.  It really means a lot to us and will to her someday too!

Park Play

We headed over to visit a really cool park in Rocklin.  They have an amazing 3 story slide but we stuck to the little kid play area.  It was a cold day but we were bundled up well and Blair didn't seem to mind at all!  She loved to watch all the other kids playing too... so much so that she just walks without looking wear she is going so you have to really be careful with her because she will just walk off a curb and fall down.

In these she was playing wack- a-mole with our fingers through the holes. She thought it was pretty funny.

Trying with all her might to climb up... and she made it!

She couldn't completely get her booty up to sit on this little chair but she thought it was fun anyway, she likes to rub up on things, haha!  What a weird-o!

She really didn't enjoy herself at all ;)
