Water!

Dad was playing with Blair in the bathtub...

practicing some water on the face...

LOL!!!!  This makes me die laughing every time!

and yes... I know we should probably stop bathing her in the sink tub but it is really convenient.  So what if her head doesn't fit in the tub anymore right?

What Blair was doing while I was writing some posts!

I think she likes it!

Nana's visit

Nana hadn't seen Blair since she was 2 weeks old so she was excited to come and see Blair and how big she had gotten and what a BIG personality she had developed.  We had a great week with Nana and got to do lots of fun things and Blair even did lots of new things to show Nana like rolling from back to tummy and getting into a crawl position.

We started the week with a surprise birthday party for Uncle Dan:

Blair got to spend lots of time playing with Nana and also Great Granny since she was here a lot of the week:

We went to Library story time.  Blair loves to watch other kids, she just laughs at them:

Nana got to go watch Blair at The Little Gym (some of these are bad because we just had the little camera and it is not so good):

Trying to do a forward roll (obviously mom is the cause of this difficulty but it was scary to turn her upside down like this)
spinning the babies around on the parachute... I think you can tell from this picture how Blair is OBVIOUSLY the cutest one!
Daddy doing rolls on the ground... could these three pictures BE any worse?  Why am I even posting these?
We went to Toys R Us to get Blair a present (she got a little kitchen set and she LOVES it)

And on the very last night Mom freaked out and realized she didn't really take enough pictures... oh well, I will try better next time.

We can't wait to see you again at Christmas time Nana!

6 Month Pictures

We did a lot of outfits this time.  She has such a great wardrobe thanks to all her big fans so it is hard to pick just one cute outfit.  She wasn't her usual smiley self the morning we decided to do the pictures but she still looks adorable.

6 Months!!!

this one makes me laugh so much                 classic Blair face, sucking on the lower lip

have you ever seen more beautiful eyes...seriously, have you?

 a VERY happy family!

This one reminds me of me... anyone else see it?

 there's that lip again!

This one is just funny how she sprawled her arms out!

Ok so it was actually only 3 outfits.  We had her in another one but she refused to do anything with it so we stopped torturing her!

6 Months!

What a milestone!  I can't believe when people ask now that I say my sweet "little" girl is 6 months old!  Where has time gone? How did she get so big?  Ahhh....stop!  I so much enjoy watching her new skills but at the same time I just want to cuddle her all the time and she likes to move now!

New things this month:

1.  Blair sits great on her own now and still loves to "stand"  She tries and is sometimes successfully at pulling herself into a standing position.

2.  She now sleeps without a swaddler on her arms!  She still has it on the bottom but mostly because it is a safe way for her to have a blanket on.  Working on naps are next!

3.  She is doing really well on her tummy now and working on pushing up and bringing her legs under her.  A few times she has even gotten into a crawl position and rocked back and forth.  I think she feels more powerful now on her belly and doesn't mind it.

4.  She is SO curious now.  She likes to reach for everything and will go after what she wants (even if she doesn't have the coordination to get to it and falls over on her face).  It is definitely more difficult to go to restaurants and things now because she doesn't want to sit still and wants to touch everything.

5.  She eats two meals a day now and has had: rice cereal, oatmeal, carrots, bananas, and peas.  She really likes to eat and is like a little bird waiting for food.

6.  She continues to develop her funny personality and just loves to play with her tongue and smile and flirt with people.

7.  She is so much smarter in knowing what is going on around her.  She even gets scared and clings to us if a noise or her surroundings make her nervous.  She just loves to watch everything that is happening around her!

Her stats from her doctors checkup (she is doing great, the doctor was impressed with all her movement and eye contact checkups): 18 pounds, 11 ounces (91%); 27.25 inches (92%); 17.25 inch head (83% lots of brain growth), around 75% for weight to height ratio.  Cheek size still 125% haha

She had another round of shots :( She turned so red and held her breath for a good 15 seconds before letting out a big cry!

Oh my dear Blair, you just make me smile so much!  From the smile you give me when I pop over your crib in the morning until your sweet angelic face falls asleep on me at night... you make our lives so amazing!

The Little Gym!

We took Blair to a trial class at The Little Gym to see if she was ready to do some activities.  It is a parent-infant class frpm 4 months to 10 months.  It was SO much fun for all of us and I can't wait to go back.  I am sure we made all the other babies jealous since Blair is the cutest in the world but we can't keep her inside all the time ;)

We started with some circle time activities.  We sang songs and practiced different stretching and activities to work different muscles.  We played with sticks to make music too!

 shaky egg!

 wheelbarrow
 "walking"
Music time

Next we got some free time to explore and Blair had fun pulling herself up on this little bar.  She loves to stand so much!

She met another little boy who was 7 days older and they stared at each other and played with scarves.

Daddy helped her with the balance beam activity and her grip for holding onto the bars.  A lot of the earlier classes when they are younger are just to get them comfortable with the different equipment so they aren't scared later.

 just rocking and "jumping"
Proud daddy... I LOVE this one :)

Next we went back to the mat for ball and bubble time!

She didn't really know what to think of the bubbles, she tried to touch them a little but mostly just say and stared at them.  She got some on her head too!

At the end of class they have earned their stamps.  She got them on both feet... look at those little sausages!

And because we cannot get away without talking about her fashion... is that not the cutest little romper!  Thanks Nana!
