6 Months!

What a milestone!  I can't believe when people ask now that I say my sweet "little" girl is 6 months old!  Where has time gone? How did she get so big?  Ahhh....stop!  I so much enjoy watching her new skills but at the same time I just want to cuddle her all the time and she likes to move now!

New things this month:

1.  Blair sits great on her own now and still loves to "stand"  She tries and is sometimes successfully at pulling herself into a standing position.

2.  She now sleeps without a swaddler on her arms!  She still has it on the bottom but mostly because it is a safe way for her to have a blanket on.  Working on naps are next!

3.  She is doing really well on her tummy now and working on pushing up and bringing her legs under her.  A few times she has even gotten into a crawl position and rocked back and forth.  I think she feels more powerful now on her belly and doesn't mind it.

4.  She is SO curious now.  She likes to reach for everything and will go after what she wants (even if she doesn't have the coordination to get to it and falls over on her face).  It is definitely more difficult to go to restaurants and things now because she doesn't want to sit still and wants to touch everything. 

5.  She eats two meals a day now and has had: rice cereal, oatmeal, carrots, bananas, and peas.  She really likes to eat and is like a little bird waiting for food.

6.  She continues to develop her funny personality and just loves to play with her tongue and smile and flirt with people. 

7.  She is so much smarter in knowing what is going on around her.  She even gets scared and clings to us if a noise or her surroundings make her nervous.  She just loves to watch everything that is happening around her!

Her stats from her doctors checkup (she is doing great, the doctor was impressed with all her movement and eye contact checkups): 18 pounds, 11 ounces (91%); 27.25 inches (92%); 17.25 inch head (83% lots of brain growth), around 75% for weight to height ratio.  Cheek size still 125% haha

She had another round of shots :( She turned so red and held her breath for a good 15 seconds before letting out a big cry!

Oh my dear Blair, you just make me smile so much!  From the smile you give me when I pop over your crib in the morning until your sweet angelic face falls asleep on me at night... you make our lives so amazing!
