Fairytale Town and Funderland

Day 2 of Mommy's Birthday Weekend-O-Fun was to go to Fairytale Town.  It is a place with a bunch of little stations for different fairy tales where kids can climb and play.  It was.... well to be honest, kind of lame. She seemed to enjoy it; there were a lot of slides to go on but nothing was particularly amazing.

Our first stop was the little old woman who lived in a... big shoe with a slide.

She likes to climb any fence that she can!

Another slide at a barn... can't remember the story here.
We tried out the horses on the carriage and then went inside.

Then Blair proclaimed, "I go pee pee" and we rushed out to run across the park to the bathroom.  We made it!
 Post bathroom run!

 Another slide!
Up in the treehouse with daddy and then down the slide!
 Crawling in the cheese.
She really liked this bunny to climb on.  When I asked her about 4 days later what she liked at Fairytale Town this is what she remembered!

I don't think she quite gets the point of these cutout pictures yet, she just wanted to crawl through.

 Driving the pirate ship!
Running around on the crooked mile.  It is a raised cement path that goes up and down and around plants.  She liked this one and I remember it as a kid too!

Since we only spent about an hour before we saw everything, we decided to head next door to Funderland too.  It is a kid's amusement park with little rides.  She started on the carousel.

Then she went on the roller coaster   It was pretty big and I wasn't sure about it but it said 2 and up so she did it with Daddy.  I fully expected crying but she smiled each lap around.  Daddy kept her in a headlock to keep her safe from smacking around or hurting her neck!

She went alone on this little fishy ride.  I didn't think she would like being alone but she was totally fine and having a great time.  It made a little click-click sound as it went up and down and she started shuffling her shoulders back and forth to the beat.  It was so cute!

Of course the train ride!
 And the cars.

Then again, this big girl road the plane ride around and around all by herself!

30 Weeks!

How Far Along: 30 weeks. I only have 6 weeks of work left!

Size of baby: A head of lettuce (18 in and 3.2 lbs)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 25 pounds.  So I guess that isn't that bad since that is one pound a week for the last two weeks.  Considering I ate 4 cinnamon rolls in one weekend I will take that!

Maternity Clothes: Dressing daily is a real chore at this point.  I don't want to buy anything new though since I won't wear it long and this is most likely my last pregnancy.

Gender/Name: The name for this little girl has still not been decided.  Jason says we are waiting until we see her, I don't think I can let it go that far.  Each time I think I made a choice I then feel like I don't want to give up the other name yet!  We actually contemplated having a blog vote I am getting so desperate... but we then decided against it, sorry!

Movement: Oh is she a mover!  I don't really do my kick counts like I am supposed to because there is never a question of if she moves enough.  One day I decided to time how long 10 movements took... 48 seconds!  I love it!  There is one spot in particular that she really jabs me at, I wish I knew what body part it was.

What I miss: Besides the usual Diet Pepsi I am not really missing much right now.

Cravings: Definitely Cinnamon rolls are a continuing problem!  It needs to stop!

Symptoms: The sleeping is an issue at this point.  Not terrible so I don't want to complain too much.  I just get so sore on one side so quickly and it is such a pain to roll over that it becomes an issue at night.  That plus getting up to pee really ruins the night.  Jason laughs because I guess I have a specific "routine" for when I wake up to pee where I dramatically flail the covers off to one side and push the snoogle to the other and then struggle like a beached whale to get off the side of the bed.

Best Moment this week: We bought some stuff for her including a coming home outfit and Easter dress and they are so tiny!  I have been imagining what she looks like and I just can't wait to see if she looks like Blair or if she looks totally different.  I am getting excited to see her... but still no rush!  I am so nervous too!

Snow Day 2013

Snow day started our family weekend-o-fun!  That is what I wanted for my birthday.  We thought about taking a family vacation for the long weekend to San Diego but ended up deciding just to do a few family activities together.  I just love to see her have fun doing new things and that is how I wanted to spend the weekend.

She was not scared at all.  Right from her first ride down the hill she wanted to go "again!"

Daddy started having her go on her own.  We just went to a place off Nyack road... the first place we could find so the drive wasn't bad.  It just had small hills but that was perfect for us!

She was such a trooper the whole day.  She never complained about all the bulky gear or being cold.  She climbed the hill by herself and walked all over the place.  What a big girl!

Mommy of course couldn't join in the sledding fun.  I did spin her on this saucer just to try to get her to cuddle and have a little fun with me! I also pulled her around on the saucer a bit too.

She quickly found her favorite task was just to collect chunks of snow.  The mittens she had on were kind of strange so she had no thumbs or anything so she just squished them between her hands and dropped them in the saucer.  She loved it!

Daddy tried to find a bigger hill but it still wasn't anything too thrilling.  This was probably the only time he had to carry her up, I was so proud of her!

We had some snacks and later lunch in the back of the car.  She must have burned a lot of energy because she actually requested that we go eat!

We found some space to build a frosty!  The snow was pretty hard to work with but Mommy and Daddy teamed up to get the job done.  We did some decorating and Frosty turned out pretty good.

We asked Blair to give him a hug and she really went for it!

A nice family photo and a silly one!

Then dad taught Blair that it was fun to assault Frosty!

"Hey Mom!  What's going on it that camera?"

She couldn't be any cuter!

Wrestling with Daddy!  One of her favorite things to do anywhere!

She decided it was really fun to just slide down on her bum on the snow banks.  She loved doing it over and over!

We had a very fun day together.  I thought she would be exhausted but she ended up not taking a nap.  This was the first day she really explored her room and she decided to bring all her underwear out of her drawers and to bed with her.  Pretty funny (except not)!
