21 Months

Blair,

You are such a light in our lives.  Your personality cannot be larger and you are not afraid to show it... well maybe you can be a little shy!

Some things I want to remember:

• You love your babies so much.  You will spend so much time sitting them in chairs, laying them down and putting blankets on them, and changing their diapers.  You are obsessed with saying they need their diaper changed!
• You like to play with your little people a lot.  You especially like the parrot for some reason, we aren't sure why it is your favorite. 

• You can be pretty shy and clingy to Mommy (or whoever is with you) acting like an ostrich around new people but then surprise me by saying "Bye Bye" loudly to them when we leave.
• You love to go to the park and play and daddy takes you there a lot.  You just want to swing all the time but you also go on the slide like a big girl.

• You talk so much!  You can pretty much tell us whatever you need to say and you say lots of words together.  Your vocabulary is amazing!
• You can count to 6 if you feel like it.  You refuse to identify your numbers much to your math teacher mommy's dismay.  You are still a shape and color champ! 
• You love to read and know the names of all your favorite books.  You especially like "Caps for Sale," "Sam who Never Forgets," and "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie," "Elmo flys a Kite"
• I can't even believe how smart you are.  We tell you things one time and you will remember them forever.  Daddy and are constantly telling each other stories, "Can you believe what she did today!"
• You are fighting your naps like crazy.  You take between 1-2 hours to go down but once you do you still sleep for 2 hours so we know you need them.  You sleep about 11 hours at night and rarely wake up.
• You wear size 2T clothes and size 6-7 shoes.
• You LOVE your music still.  You ask for "Crinkle Crinkle Star" every night.  You also sing little things in the car "ba ba ba."  What amazes us is your ability to know the songs even before we do.  You hear the first note and you say, "BUS!" or "Happy Know It"! 
• You love your Mimi and Papa so much.  Mommy is getting a complex about how you would rather be there but I guess I better get used to it.  That is what they are for.
• You favorite foods are Mac and Cheese,  burritos "Ritos" and Pizza "Potty." We don't know why you call pizza potty but you know it isn't right because when we tell you to say it right you say, "Pi.........ZA!"  You aren't a great eater and I think you survive on yogurt sometimes just to get you something healthy. 
• You go to daycare 3 days a week but not all day.  You play with Hunter and Arya there and you always ask to go and have fun but when I pick you up you cry to go home.  It is strange and I am told if someone knocks on the door and it isn't me or dad you have a little meltdown.  You do lots of arts and crafts there and you tell me a lot that you play with cars.

• You love to play "Running Game" with Daddy.  He runs down the hall, you chase him, he picks you up, throws you and runs you back to spin you around before he throws you on the couch.  You laugh so much with him because he is always throwing you and playing such fun games with you.

You truly are an amazing child and I love you to pieces.  Your smile and laughter are the highlight of my day.
