Snapshot: April 2012

Some updates about Blair:

1. You had your first serious illness.  It was terrible to see you so sad but I did enjoy lots of mommy and Blair cuddle time.  We had to take you to the doctor and you were not happy to be there with all the tests, breathing treatments, and x-rays.  You were down for about 3-4 days but are finally getting back to your crazy self.
2. Speaking of crazy self, you are HILARIOUSLY CRAZY.  Nobody can be around you without laughing and you are such a ham!  You eat it up when you notice people are laughing at you and are so smart you know to repeat it again.  The other day you gave me an unsolicited kiss (so precious) and you noticed everyone awed and smiled and you started doing it again and again and looking around for reactions.
3. You are too smart for us and it scares me.  We are continuing to be amazed daily at the things you do that we had no idea you knew about.  You know the boundaries and you like to push them but for now you are a pretty good listener when we tell you no.
4. You are OBSESSED with the ipad and iphones... it drives mom NUTS that you love them so much because I don't like you watching videos, there are too many fun things to do!   You even know that Mimi keeps her tucked in her shirt and you check there as soon as you see her.
5. You are a talker.  From babbling to words we love to hear your voice.  I think our favorite word to hear you say right now is "outside" (ow-sigh).  You say "please", "up", and "baby" a lot too. 
6. You are very good at your signs.  You come to us to sign drink and eat now when you want them which is nice that you can communicate your needs.
7. You love your baby dolls.  You carry them around a lot and kiss them and make them clap and feed them, it is so cute what a little mommy you are already.
8. You are becoming even more of a pro at identifying body parts and making animal sounds.  You don't like to perform on command but when you do decide to show people they are always impressed.  Animal sounds (that I can think of): dog, horse, sheep, pig, duck, bee, donkey, rooster, cow, alligator (just a chomp with the mouth), frog. Body parts: eyes (you say this a lot too), nose, mouth, teeth, tongue, ear, tummy, arm (you say this so cute too!), leg, knee, feet, hands, head.
9. You dance to "happy and you know it" and you sing/act out "Wheels on the Bus" with Mimi.
10. You are a very picky eater so that is tough to find things for you to eat right now.  Mimi and Papa say it is karma since I was so bad too!
