Mateys!

Blair has loved playing with her little people pirate ship for a long time.  When she started watching the show "Jake and the Neverland Pirates" she got even more into it and she got some of the characters to play with too.  She started calling them Mateys too!

Since she liked hunting for Easter eggs long after Easter I thought we could do something with Gold Doubloons (coins).  I made a treasure map and set up 4 "Tasks" for her to complete and then find the doubloons in that room.  She was in a pretty cranky mood this day so she didn't want to totally cooperate and get into it but we still had a great time!

Naturally we dressed up as Pirates (this is the best I could do on a whim so I made eye patches and used some bandannas!)  Bliar didn't quite get the "make a mean pirate face" memo

 Ahoy Mateys, we are on the lookout for Gold Doubloons!

Task 1: Throwing blocks in the box and successfully found 3 GD

Task 2: Stack the blocks and do a big KABOOM! (her favorite part)

 We had to take a break from hunting the GD to organize the blocks of course!

 Task 3: Jumping over the river... which just turned into her "jumping rope"

 Task 4: Ride the trike through the "forest of trees"

We found them all and counted them!  12 in all!  (Why 12? because that is how high she can count  right now!)
