The time had finally come to go to Disneyland!!! The whole family went (Mimi, Papa, Nicole, Jen and Graham, and Janae and Nick plus us) We arrived the night before and got settled into our hotel rooms. It was nice because they had 2 rooms each so we were able to split the kiddos into their own spaces. We had a little dinner and headed to bed to get an early start on Sunday.
For various planning purposes we decided to start at California Adventure on Sunday morning. We wanted to get the fast passes for Radiator Springs Racers in Cars Land first thing(Blair ended up being too short to ride, bummer!). While we were standing in line we saw Chip and Dale and went over for Blair to meet them. She was so awed I started tearing up right then and there!
Blair was dressed as Tinkerbell for the day and Nora as Snow White. They were SO adorable!
We went into Cars Land to ride Mater's Junkyard Jamboree. Blair rode with Mimi and then with Daddy.
The kids got some Mickey Ears!
Stroller babies!
We rode another ride in Car's Land that had reopened and then Mimi and Papa took the kiddos while the parents rode the Radiator Springs Racers. It was SO nice to have everyone with us and we would not want to do it without them!
Blair had a mark on her leg the night before (we were thinking Ringworm) that all of a sudden was really swollen (so we were thinking spider bite) so it was a little stressful checking that out and we almost had to go to the Emergency room!
While Graham slept we checked out some more rides but Blair was too short for so many. She wanted to ride something so bad and we finally found the carousel. Her face is just priceless.
Then we met Donald!
We got to go to a special Meet and Greet thanks to Auntie Janae and we met Stitch. The kids didn't know who he was but loved him!
It was naptime by this point and Mimi and Papa (did I mention they are the best) took the kids back to nap while we rode some big rides!
After nap it was finally time to head to the Happiest Place on Earth! We got to meet Pluto right away.
Blair could NOT wait to get to the castle. This is her when I told her to smile!
We took the walk through Sleeping Beauty's Castle.
The kids went up in Tarzan's Treehouse.
Next it was Parade time. We weren't sure if the kids would like it that much but they ended up LOVING it! I think it was one of their favorite things. Auntie Nae got Blair a balloon!
When the princesses finally came Blair was beside herself. Since she was dressed up they really paid a lot of attention to her. They waved and pointed and blew her kisses and she just didn't know what to do. This picture with the look of complete wonderment on her face is one of my favorite from the trip. I was just crying it was SO sweet! When Tinkerbell came by it was just amazing how much she focused on our little sweetheart!
As we were headed back to CA Adventure for a ride we ran into Aurora as she was walking out for greetings. She took Blair's hand and they walked. Since she was the first girl with her she got to talk with her for so long. They talked about how Blair had gone threw her castle and about their dresses. It was beyond an amazing moment to watch her and it made the entire trip!
Twirls and hugs!
Thankful for my little and big family!
We hopped over to meet Cinderella too. They had a wonderful chat as well. These princesses are so good at their jobs. We were all laughing at Blair's smile in this one.
They were playing together with surprise faces.
This is also one of my favorite pictures (tearing up again just looking now). The look on Cinderellas face is such love for my precious girl. I know she sees a lot of little kids everyday but she just must know how extra special my baby is.
Blair got a glow wand and we headed over for Ariel's ride at CA Adventure. Blair was pretty hyped up at this point, we all were really after witnessing the childhood awe of Disney. She LOVED the ride and asked for "AGAIN!" and who could say no! She went with Auntie Nae and Nick once and Mimi once.
This was probably my favorite night. I will never forget those moments with Blair seeing those princesses. It made her feel so special and happy and that is all you want for your kids.
