Moving

What made moving the hardest was of course leaving the home we brought our babies home to.  I hated to leave that beautiful nursery that my little girls slept their first nights in.  We did a lot of work to our house to make it a happy home and it was tough to make the decision to leave.  Ultimately we wanted not so much more space (although we did want that too) but a different layout mostly for our family room.  We ended up adding a lot more space which will mostly be playrooms for these spoiled girls :)

Nora didn't skip a beat of course because she didn't really know what was going on.  Blair did pretty good considering moving is a bit traumatic when you don't know what is going on.  Plus we were SO crazy busy and stressed during this time that our attention for her was limited.  She did get lots of time with Mimi and Papa though so she was happy.  Actually, we couldn't have done it without them.  I literally would have had a nervous breakdown and that is no joke.  Not only did they give time and time and time for watching the girls but my mom spent her nights until 10 and 11 cleaning the new house and my dad spent every second between his real job working on both our old and new houses.  Not many people are that selfless but they do it without question and with a smile on their face.  You rock Mimi and Papa, words can't thank you enough!

Here are a few pictures here and there, otherwise pictures were pretty limited during these 4 weeks of crazy.

Our first day with the keys!

Blair helping out with cleanup

Standard fun as a child... getting to ride on the dolly

Nora testing out the carpet... she spit up within 2 minutes
Blair watching the action from her playroom which opens into the family room

the mess we lived in

Mimi  got us some celebration cupcakes.  We put candles on them just because it is fun!  Blair thought it was a blast and just started laughing spontaneously!  Maybe it was the fumes? :)

Off to Mimi and Papa's to stay for 4 nights while our tile was done.  Yes, they even let us move in with them! Although, I think they actually really liked that part ;)  We kind of decided it was awesome and it is totally cool to have 2 extra adult hands. Raising children, cooking, housework, etc would be a lot easier shared among 4 adults!

Just when things were getting better Jason started the next project to tear out the fireplace... eventually we wont live in a construction zone I hope!

Things are getting more back to normal and it is feeling more like home.  The girls are both doing great in their new rooms and memories are being made daily. We are just lucky to have a home and be together!
