18 Months

I can't believe my little baby is a year and a half old!  Part of me isn't surprised because she acts so old that I don't think of her as a baby but she will always be my baby so it is still tough to think about her growing up so fast.  She is QUITE the child, she makes us laugh SO much and amazes us daily with her intelligence and will.

• You.Are.So.Stubborn.... you know exactly what you want.  There is no distracting you and no telling you no.  You now just start crying until your face turns red if you are told no and it really is a sad cry.  You want to do things on your own terms which is usually not what I want you to do and when I do want you to do something you give me a look like "haha, yeah right" and run away.
• You are also SO sweet and cuddly.  You LOVE to give kisses, hugs and snuggles.  You have a certain way that you like to be held to cuddle and if we aren't holding you that way, true to your nature, you move yourself on our body to get in "your" position and then you just cuddle and give your love and it is SO precious and sweet.  
• You're such a little flirt.  You learned to say the word Hi and you will just say it at anyone and laugh and smile and you love when they talk back to you.  You then just repeat Hi over and over again until the person really doesn't know what to do.  Checkout stand lines get a little awkward when you don't stop, haha!
• You love your sister... I think.  You just want to tackle her all the time and do whatever she does.  She isn't such a fan of this but will be some day!
• You're still a bully and you will push and pull hair to get what you want, no matter what age or size kid.
• You're starting to talk a little, still being stubborn of course when we want you to learn a word.  You say : Mama, dada, hi, bye, dog, more, tickle, eye, yeah (pronounced in a German accent as Dah)... you sign drink, all done, more and please... you do animal sounds for a cow only... you do not want to learn more
• You're getting more interested in books, puzzles, and "learning play" with us so I hope that will move you along in your talking.  You are SO ridiculously smart in everything you do that I know you understand the language but you just want to do it on your own time.
• You love underwear, babies, the dogs, eating, milk, Mimi and Auntie Cole

I just really can't explain in words your personality.  You are just so feisty and funny and your own little spirit and we just love to watch you.  You are going to give us a run for our money, especially over this next year, since you know exactly what you want and you do not want to see any alternatives.  I just hope you keep up this sweet, friendly, brave, confident flair that you have for life.
