Camping 2014

Despite all the work it was to get everything ready, setup, etc, etc camping was amazing this year!  We had such a great time and there is just something about camping that allows me to relax more than any other vacation.  We joked at first that we should just check in to the Hilton but by the end of the trip we were all talking about doing it more next year.  Such a blast!

Both kids slept great, I used sheets and clamps to create 3 rooms in our tent.  Blair was in LOVE with sleeping in the tent.  She would ask all the time to go hang out in there.

Luckily we had a kiddie pool because it was hot.  There might have been a certain few adults who sat in there a few times too...

Fuzzy hat head!

Are these shorts the cutest thing ever?!  She really loved to play with Little... poor Little will probably never be the same after her weekend camping.

Nora was SO happy to just be free to get dirty.  She played with everything.  She loved covering people in dirt (luckily everyone was happy to let this little cutie do that!) and putting rocks in anything she could find.  Moving around with little boundaries was right up her ally!

 Dirt Ball Baby!!!

Collins Lake ice cream is THE BEST!

Camping baths... some pretty nasty water but while camping we will consider them "clean."
 Morning snuggles in Mimi's tent
 Playdough with Papa

 Hanging out lakeside...

  Deep thinkers

Tubing fun!

It got a little wild so we had to pull the plug with Nora's head bopping around but they were both smiling!

Blair found all of these supplies on a treasure hunt and made her name with them.  It turned out SO cute!  She was so particular about finding the perfect sized pieces for each part of the letter, it was pretty amazing to watch her creative skills.

Painting pet rocks... Nora and Graham preferred to paint each other.

Next time anyone tries to tell me she isn't evil I will show this picture... She had just gotten Graham's back after I told her no
She would dip the brush and then look right at me while I said "only on the rocks" and then it went right on her belly.
Blair was the only one who lasted to put on the eyes.  She loved this activity... of course, my little crafter.
Nora was so happy to spend so much time with her beloved Auntie Cole.  This was her wardrobe if we weren't swimming.  Diaper and tennis shoes... it was TOO cute to cover in clothes.
Look at those rolls... I am in love with this picture!

 Blair's first time roasting marshmallows.

 Cuddly loving girl!

Another girl happy to be dirty!
Auntie Jen and Mommy caught a lizard (with Auntie Janae's help too).

and after much anticipation from Blair, Auntie Janae found success in catching our camp crawdad, Amy.
We didn't have the camera at the time but on our third day I was floating in the water with Auntie Nicole when Jason came surfing by behind the boat.... who was on the board with him but BLAIR! He had gotten up on the surfboard with her and she was LOVING IT!  I was crying I was so proud of my brave girl.  She mentions this along with sleeping in a tent as her favorite parts of camping.  Also on that day we were on the boat in the afternoon with the music on and Blair had her baseball camp on and was dancing doing some pretty good hip hop and break dancing moves in the boat.  It was adorable to watch!

Frisbee with Mimi and Daddy.

 Nora and Little again.

 Nature bracelets

Ahhhhh... can't wait for next year!  Showers when we got home were pretty amazing though!!!
