Nora 11 Months

Nora has changed so much!

  • Nora started walking at just 10 months 3 days.  It took her about 2 more weeks to really start doing it  on her own (like not between two people squealing at her to come to them) and now it is her main mode of transportation.  She loves to explore even more now and get into trouble.  I love watching the uncoordinated little straight legs stumble around.  She is really quite graceful at falling too so that is nice.  She doesn't get upset by falling unless she really hits her head but then she gets over it pretty quick.  Tough little girl!
  • Speaking of trouble, holy cow Nora is still a little Menace.  She enjoys hitting people.  Blair will be playing and Nora grabs a toy and walks over to hit her on the head and then laughs.  So we are really working on gentle!  She also loves to try to go out the doggie door and get the dogs food and water (she got her first taste of dog food this month too).
  • She will read *slightly* more now and I do mean slightly... like we can almost make it through 1 book :)
  • Her favorite toys are a door (she will stand and open and close it for 20 minutes) and a cup with spoon.  She is very coordinated with putting things in and out.
  • She dances to music and it is darling.
  • She gives kisses now... big open mouth sloppy ones and they're the best.
  • When people talk to her she gets a shy face and curls into my arm to hide.  I just love the little shy emotion they learn.  Then she looks back up to flirt.
  • She "talks" more and more but still not really and definitive words besides maybe mama and dada.  She can definitely scream to let you know when she is not getting what she wants too!
  • Sleeping is the same, 2 naps and solid nights.

Our little go getter is on the move and she's not stopping.  We are having so much fun despite the added stubbornness, tantrums, and sneaky exploring because after all it is just so wonderful to see her personality develop and how funny and smart she is makes us love her more every day!

Blair wanted to get in on it too, it was morning so excuse her hair.

 speaking of clumsy walker...

don't we all wish we could have eyelashes like these...
 and eyes like these...
so so beautiful my little precious angel, absolute perfection

Dad was poking her with a stick so she went all Chris Farley on him
 happy girl!

This is her dancing, she totally looks like she is about to get down.

We love you baby, please slow down the next month so you don't have to become a toddler quite so soon!
